2018 British Royal Mint Cased 22ct Gold Proof Sovereign Coin

A 2018 original mint proof full sovereign that mas made to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of the Queen’s Coronation.

The Royal Mint released a very limited issue 10,500 Sovereigns struck in solid 22 Carat Gold with a special Privy Mark. The coins have struck with tools remastered from Benedetto Pistrucci's original and feature the legendary St George and the Dragon reverse sovereign design from 1817, together with the Fifth Portrait of Her Majesty, The Queen by Jody Clark on the obverse.

The coin comes in its own clear plastic container, in a polished mahogany case, inside a protective outside black cardboard box, in turn within a burgundy colour box. The latter has the title THE SOVEREIGN and has the Royal Mint logo in the top corner. The coin has a certificate of authenticity, plus a limited edition issue number.
