2020 Datestamp UK Cased Mint Specimen Coin Year Set

A mint set of the 2020 United Kingdom cased set of 5 commemorative coins produced by the Royal Mint, each one with a franked postage stamp and dated 1st January 2020.

The 5 coins of £5, £2 and 50 Pence mark the year’s memorable events and anniversaries. The special £5 coin has been issued to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the end of King George III’s reign. 2020 £2 coin marks the 75th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day (VE DAY). The next £2 coin celebrates ‘100 years of mystery’ by honouring the life of the Queen of Crime thrillers: Agatha Christie. The next £2 celebrates 400 years since the Mayflower’s voyage, taking the first Pilgrims from Plymouth to America to establish a colony in the New World. Finally, the 50p coin celebrates Team GB, as they head off to Tokyo for the 2020 Olympics. The set is set in a fitted wooden box, with an outer protective cardboard sleeve. The coins and stamps are inside sealed individual clear plastic rectangular tablets. The set is limited to just 995 examples, coded C4-0209. Condition is mint.
