Product Description

A rare and desirable early 20th century unassembled human skeleton in its case of issue and produced by the London company Adam Rouilly & Co.

The skeleton is of a young adult and is partially complete. It probably was marketed as a half skeleton, in that it has a skull, the complete set of vertebra, one leg (minus foot), 2 hands, half a hip, a shoulder plate, ribs, sternum and radius. The skull has a spring loaded jaw, to show the movement and the cranium is cut laterally to display the brain cavity. The skull is missing some of the 28 teeth.

The bones are contained in a pine box. The lid has an ink stamp with: ADAM ROUILLY & CO. OSTEOLOGY 18 FITZROY St, LONDON W1. On the inside of the lid is a very nice company label with the details of the makers, describing them as 'The House for Human Skeletons, etc.'

The condition is very good considering its age. Original human skeletons are very hard to come by legally, these days.
