c1800 Georgian English Tortoiseshell and Gold Snuff Box

A beautifully made tortoiseshell hinged lid snuff box, with 9 carat rose gold inlaid plate and hinge.

The plate is engraved with the monogram IW. The piece is typical of c1800 Georgian English quality and has a really snug fit. The box, which has an octagonal brick shape, is in beautiful condition without any chips or cracks.
