c1800 Tortoiseshell Snuff Box of Napoleons French Army

A very fine and attractive boiled and moulded tortoiseshell snuff box, with an image of Classical Greek Victory honouring a warrior surrounded by enemy dead and trophy armour.

The circular box dates from about 1800 and is a dark brown in colour. On the lid, the greek warrior is in the middle. The writing around the upper edge has: HOMAGE AUX BRAVES. The decoration is signed L. CLAUD in very small letters. Condition is very good with no damage.
