c1820 English Brass Inlaid Rosewood Cased Triple Scent Bottles

A beautiful early 19th century cased set of 3 crystal scent bottles in very good condition.

The bottles are hand-blown and decorated with gilded grape vines. They fit into a silk and velvet lined serpentine case. The case is made of rosewood and is decorated with gilded brass inlay. The quality is excellent, with attention paid to the most minute of details. In particular, how the scent bottles fit into their individual compartments. Appearing at first glance to be all of the same size, one notices a slight resistance when arranging the bottles in their wrong order. The glass stoppers are numbered.

The bottles retain remnants of their period scent (Sandalwood). There are no chips to the glass bottles and the gilding has only minor wear. Stunning piece and remarkable to find in such condition.
