1847 London Sterling Silver Set 6 Dessert Spoons by Chawner

A very nice set of 6 London Sterling Silver (925) Victorian Dessert Spoons in good condition.

The substantial spoons are all in identical elegant fiddle pattern. They are all hallmarked by the London Assay Office, with the date stamp of 1847. The maker’s mark is that of Chawner & Co (George William Adams), of Hosier Lane, Smithfield, London. There is a faint engraved M on the upper side of each spoon.
