A very attractive looking set of 4 Sterling Silver (925) Tea & Coffee Serving Set.
The set consists of a Coffee pot, a Teapot, a Sugar bowl and a Cream jug. The pieces are all of the same design and have a boat shape body, with a part-fluted decoration and black ebony handles and lid finials. The design is very much in the elegant style of George III period. The 4 pieces all share exactly the same design, but have been sourced from different silversmiths. The teapot is Birmingham hallmarked and has the date stamp of 1910. It is made by John William Caldicott, of Great Hampton Street, Birmingham. The sugar bowl and cream jug are also Birmingham assayed and dated 1909 and 1910, respectively. The were made by W G Keight & Co, of Spencer Street, Birmingham. The coffee pot is Sheffield assayed, with the earlier date of 1890. It is made by Walker & Hall (John Edward Bingham), of Electro Works, Howard Street, Sheffield.
Condition is very good, with minor marks and wear.
