c1900 Australian Tribal Nulla Nulla Throwing Club


This Aborigine simple but elegant and deadly throwing club comes from Eastern Australia.

It is called a Nulla Nulla or Waddy club.It is beautifully shaped out of very dense hardwood, its surface is textured with fine engraved lines (generally using Possum teeth to incise the decoration. It has a shiny dark chocolate brown patina of age, dating it to around the late 19th to the beginning of the 20th century. The shape is typical of South Eastern Australia with an elegant fusiform shape.
Condition is very good, without any cracks or damage.
