Product Description

A pre-WWII Street sign of Plymouth, in Devon, that was altered to become the top of Molesworth Road, after the war.

The sign is for Donegal Terrace. It is cast out of zinc. The letters are raised in relief. It is missing its paint which would have been black letters and border on a white background. Plymouth was the most destroyed city in Britain, during WWII, with over 80 percent of the City Centre destroyed. Today a lot of the old street names have disappeared.

A nice piece of 20th Century history. Condition is good.
