c1900 Carved Painted Wood Hunting Decoy Duck

A nicely carved antique wooden Duck that was made as a decoy for duck hunting.

The duck is made of 2 pieces of wood. The body is a light wood, whereas the head and neck are of a harder, more substantial wood. The duck has been painted in a realistic manner and is designed to float in a natural way, so as to attract other ducks. It displays a nice patina of age and light wear.
