1989 Beryl Cook Cocktails for 3 Limited Edition Signed Print


An early, rare, signed and framed limited edition Beryl Cook screenprint titled ‘Cocktails for 3’, published in 1989 and numbered 220/300.

The print bears Beryl Cook’s hand signed pencil signature and the details of ‘Alexander Gallery Publications Ltd., Bristol, England’ – sole publishers of Cook’s work since 1977. It shows a stylish waitress coming down some stairs in a club, carrying a tray with 3 cocktail drinks.

Beryl Cook (1926 - 2008) is probably Plymouth's most famous artist of the 20th century and is best known for her tongue in cheek representations of Plymouth social life . Her distinctive style, with large portly ladies and men, is hugely popular, making this a desirable piece for any enthusiast.

The print is nicely framed and glazed and very good condition.
