1878 Two Volumes Members of Parliament 1213 to 1702

A scarce First Edition of the 1878 House of Commons commissioned list of Members of Parliament from 1213 to 1702, which comes in 2 large volumes.
The first volume is titled RETURN. MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT – PART I - PARLIAMENTS OF ENGLAND, 1213 -1702. (Price 6s. 6d.) It is printed on the 1st March 1878. This includes the reigns from King John, all the way to Queen Anne. It is divided into 2 parts. The second part, which is as thick as the first is an Index, appendix and corrigenda to the first half.
The second volume is titled RETURN. MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT – PART II – PARLIAMENTS OF GREAT BRITAIN, 1750 – 1796. PARLIAMENTS OF THE UNITED KINGDOM, 1801 – 1874. PARLIAMENTS AND CONVENTIONS OF THE ESTATES OF SCOTLAND, 1357 – 1707. PARLIAMENTS OF IRELAND 1559 – 1800. (Price 7s. 6d.) Again this volume is divided into 2 parts. The second part is the Index, the Appendix and Corrections added, later, in 1891.
Both books are in very good condition, with a bit of browning to some of the inside pages and some worm grazing to the very last blank page. The books have been bound in a waxed blue material on board by W. Lewis of Duke Street, Cardiff. Each volume has about 1000 pages.
