1938 Sell's Directory of Registered Telegraphic Addresses

£80.00

A fascinating large edition book called 'SELL'S DIRECTORY OF REGISTERED TELEGRAPHIC ADDRESSES WITH TELEPHONE NUMBERS AND CLASSIFIED TRADES' for the year 1938 and covering the London area.

The directory was founded by Henry Sell and 1938 represented its 53 year in existence. However, Sell's Directories are quite rare, with very few examples coming onto the market or seen outside museums. The annual book was published by Business Directories Ltd, of 8 & 9 Johnson's Court, Fleet Street, London E.C.4. Condition is fair to good. There are some 1480 pages, replete with business adverts. This example has an ink stamp on the bottom for William Kenyon & Sons Ltd, of Dukinfield, Cheshire. They were producers of rope and still exist today.
