Product Description

A set of 4 original hand written autographs signed on the back of an ‘Adam Faith and Roulettes’ ticket, that was used by the original owner Sheila Swiggs, at the stage exit of the ABC in Plymouth after the Beatles’ concert, in 1963.

The signatures were done in 3 pens, red for George Harrison, Black for Ringo Starr, and Blue for John Lennon and Paul McCartney. The blue pen ink has faded with time, but is still clearly visible. The ticket has been attractively mounted, framed and glazed underneath a black & white photo print of the band. The autographs come with ‘The Plymouth Star’ local newspaper article in 1988 (25 years later), celebrating the visit of the Beatles to Plymouth and with interviews with audience members. Sheila Swiggs is included and the article’s photo shows her showing her autographed ticket. The blue ink had already faded by then and it is obvious it is the same. The original newspaper article has been slipped inside the frame in order to protect it. A photocopy of it as well as the front of the ticket is affixed to the reverse of the frame.
