A rare and highly collectable 1959 Demo or Sample Record for the music of the 1960 musical comedy film ‘Let’s Make Love’, starring Marilyn Monroe.

The record is a 7 inch (17.8 cm) made to be played at 45 rpm. The vinyl is the generic black with white label. It is made by Philips and is printed SAMPLE RECORD – NOT FOR SALE. Then, under MATRIX NO. it has handwritten “LET’S MAKE LOVE”. Under CATALOGUE NO., handwritten ‘Soundtrack Recording’. Around the central hole is written in red ink STEREO SBBE 9031. The vinyl pressing is numbered AA 760 3 4 4v1 V=1// 4 20 : . There is no marked A and B side, but the songs are handwritten: Let's Make Love - Marilyn Monroe & Vaughan, and Incurably Romantic - Monroe & Yves Montand, on one side. The reverse is written: My Heart Belongs to Daddy – Marilyn Monroe, and Specialisation – Monroe, Vaughan. Condition is very good, with just a couple of very slight scratches and smudges. The sleeve is actually made from turning a Decca Records Famous Singers – Famous Arias record cover inside out. On the blank white has been written Marilyn Monroe – Let’s Make Love – Soundtrack recording – Yves Montand – STEREO.

Originally called the Billionaire, Let's Make Love is a 1960 musical comedy film made by 20th Century Fox in DeLuxe Color and CinemaScope. It was directed by George Cukor and produced by Jerry Wald from a screenplay by Norman Krasna, Hal Kanter, and Arthur Miller. It starred Marilyn Monroe, Yves Montand, Frankie Vaughan and Tony Randall. It would be Monroe's last musical film performance.

"Incurably Romantic" (Cahn and Van Heusen) - sung by Bing Crosby and Yves Montand, by Marilyn Monroe and Montand and again by Marilyn Monroe and Frankie Vaughan.

2 other songs Give Me the Simple Life and Crazy Eyes were not included in the record.
