c1870 Victorian Majolica Pewter Lidded 'Corn on the Cob' Jug

A superb 19th century majolica jug crisply moulded as corn on the cob with original pewter mounted lid.

Clear, bright colours with a fine metallic glaze and lovely pink/lavender glazed interior. In nice condition, with just a chip on the underside of the base. It has the moulded registration date mark, but is not clear enough to read.
