1858 Gold 22ct Napoleon 20 Francs Coin Signet Ring

A beautiful and quite unusual 1858 French 20 Francs gold coin.

This version has the Plain head portrait of Napoleon III and reads NAPOLEON III EMPEREUR and EMPIRE FRANCAIS. On the reverse the coin has 20 FRANCS 1858. There is an A mint mark, indicating that the coin was minted in Paris. The gold content of the coin is very high, similar to the 22 carat of a British Sovereign coin. The rest of the ring is 9 carat gold.
