P1907 British SMLE Bayonet with South African Frog

A really nice condition example of a British WWI Pattern 1907 bayonet as fitted on the Lee Enfield SMLE rifle.

The bayonet has the blackened anodised blade, with a smooth leather scabbard and steel fittings, and polished wood slab grips. The steel blade is stamped with the 1907 model date, but is dated 1915 on the inspection mark. It is also stamped WILKINSON, coming from the famous swordmaker company. There are no clear inspection marks on the leather scabbard, but the chape is stamped M/44. The bayonet comes with its brown leather South African made bayonet frog, which is in good clean condition. The frog has a leather strap and buckle to hold the scabbard in place.
