c1880 Wooden Handled Gurkha Service Kukri and Scabbard

A nice looking, late Victorian Nepalese Service Kukri in good condition.
The curved blade retains a very keen edge, despite its age, although there is some age spotting and rust to the steel. The handle is made of wood, with a steel pommel. The brown scabbard is the traditional leather over wood and very lightly decorated with a few indented lines. The scabbard is missing its little skinning knife and sharpening steel.
