c1905 Highland Light Infantry Scottish Officer’s Dirk

A very nice, clean example of an Edwardian period Highland Light Infantry Officer’s Dirk, in good condition.
The dirk has a carved bog wood grip with silver plated mounts and pommel. The grip has been carved to resemble intricately tressed cord or hair. The 25 cm (9 ¾ inches) single edged blade has a decoratively notched spine and is maker mark etched PETER HENDERSON MAKER GLASGOW. The edge is extremely sharp. The blade fits snugly into the black leather scabbard, which is decorated with silver plated mounts. They also bear applied badges of the Highland Light Infantry Regiment and Scottish Thistles.
