19th Century Sudanese Sword with Arm Scabbard


A fine quality late 19th Century Sudanese short sword that is worn in a brass scabbard around the arm.

The steel blade has a double edge with a bronze handle. The scabbard has an arm bracelet for wear and the whole is finely decorated with hammer engraving.

This sword is part of a collection that comes from the family of the late Beryl Cook, the famous Plymouth Artist.
