WWII British RAF Bomber W1191 Radar Jamming Wavemeter


A rare WWII British Air Ministry (RAF) W1191 No.10T/31 Wavemeter Counter-Radar Device, that was used on RAF Lancasters and USAAF B17 Flying Fortress’s.
The Wavemeter is in near mint condition and comes with its original wooden transit case (10T/91), that also contains operating instructions, calibration chart cards and replacement valves. Both the Wavemeter and the transit case are well marked with Air Ministry numbers and codes. The spare valves come in muslin bags that are suspended by hanging wires. The equipment and case are painted RAF light grey. It covers a frequency range of 100kHz to 20MHz with 8 bands. It would have been powered by a 60V primary battery
The W1191 forms part of the Station portable No.9 radio set. It would have been used together with the R1224 Receiver and T1422 Transmitter.
