WWII German Kriegsmarine U Boat Clock by Junghans

A nice original World War II German Kriegsmarine Navy 8 day ship’s clock by Junghans, that was removed from a surrendered U-Boat in Cornwall, at the end of the war.
The clock is in aluminium alloy case and has an 85mm (3 3/8 inches) black dial circular face with luminous outer minutes track and luminous filled hour and minutes hands. The luminous numbers are marked in Arabic numerals and the inner subsidiary seconds is set above the 6 hours. The face features the German Navy eagle and swastika above the M. The clock has been mounted on a teak wood frame, as a desk or shelf ornament. The clock opens up to reveal the winding wheel and time adjuster. There is also the stamped factory mark for Junghans over J30E. Condition is good and the clock is trying to work, but most likely requires a clean and service. The hinge has been damaged and repaired.
