1900 Sterling Silver Gordon Highlanders Staff Pin Badge

A 1900 beautifully made, multipiece construction Sterling Silver 925 Gordon Highlanders Sweetheart Badge in the design of Officers and Senior Non Commissioned Officers.
The badge has the stag’s head above a crown and within a wreath of ivy leaves. The scroll at the bottom is engraved with the motto BYDAND. On the reverse, it is clear to see the multipiece construction and the horizontal pin has a safety catch. The silver is stamped by the Birmingham Assay office, with the date stamp 1900. The maker’s mark is that of John Millward Banks, of Northampton Street, Birmingham & London.
