WWII US Surgeon Major John K. Lattimer Combat Boots

An original WWII US Army pair of 1943, 2 buckle leather combat boots that belonged to US Surgeon Major John K. Lattimer.

Lattimer was assigned to the 82nd and 101st Airborne and jumped into Normandy on D-Day. He was later transferred to Patton's 7th Army, crossing the Rhine with him and closing down Dachau Concentration Camp. He was also the Surgeon in charge of the welfare of the accused at the Nuremberg Trails. He even kept the brass container that contained Herman Göring's suicide pill.

The boots are in good, used condition and the inside canvass lining is stamped John K. Lattimer 0528247. The leather is stamped Size 10D. They are part of Lattimer's estate that includes uniforms, helmet and webbing that we are also selling.
