Product Description

An original c1944 US Army Officers overcoat in very nice clean condition.

The coat belonged to US Surgeon Major John K. Lattimer, who was originally with the Airborne 82nd and 101st Divisions, but later in 1944 transferred to Pattons General Staff of the 3rd and 7th Army. This is part of a set of uniforms belonging to Lattimer, who had a very eventful War Record and in later life was asked by the Kennedy's to re-investigate JFK's death.

The coat does not have any labels that we can find, apart from the Cutters tags stapled on the underside of the shoulder flap. The coat has a fine green wool detachable lining and the arms have the badges for 3rd and 7th Army and 5 Overseas Service Bars (2½ Years).
