1912 English Sterling Silver Boat Shaped Bowl


A very unusual and attractive English Sterling (925) silver boat shaped Bowl that could be used for a multitude of purposes, from a comport, to bonbon dish, to large sauce boat.

It has an elegant Georgian design, standing on four legs. The bowl has the silver assay marks for Birmingham an d the date stamp of 1912. The maker’s mark is that of Arthur & John Zimmerman of Regent Place, Birmingham. The bowl is in really good condition, without any knocks or marks, helped no doubt, by the heavy gauge of the silver.
