1805 Sterling Silver Cased Vinaigrette by S Pemberton

An attractive and well-made George III period Sterling Silver Vinaigrette.

The hinged lid features a smooth surface, with the initials NPD lightly engraved. The vinaigrette has rounded edges and the interior is gilded and the hinged grill features a pierced diamond drilled pattern.

The underside of the lid is stamped with the Birmingham Assay Mark, the bust of George III and the date stamp indicating the year 1805. The maker’s marks are those of Samuel Pemberton, of Snow Hill, Birmingham. Condition is very good, with a bit of wear to the outside decoration.
