1886 Victorian Sterling Silver Teapot by Aldwinckle & Slater

A very attractive bachelor style Victorian English Sterling silver teapot in good condition.

The teapot is all silver, including the handle. It has been decorated with hanging sashes and part fluting. The base is stamped with the assay marks for London, with the date stamp of 1886. The maker’s mark is that of John Aldwinckle & Thomas Slater, who were active between 1884-1894. There is a slightly feint family crest consisting of a passant greyhound with his paw on a shield.
