M1943 Band of Brothers USA Field Trousers worn by Tom Hardy

US Field Trousers M1943 from the filming of the HBO series ‘Band of Brothers’, as worn by the character Private 1st Class John A. Janovec (played by a young Tom Hardy).
The trousers are the paratrooper model with larger side leg pockets in thick canvas and canvas leg tie straps and are in really good condition, with little wear, apart from the effect damage created when PFC Janovec is killed in a Jeep accident in the final episode. This consists of a tear around the knee area and was obtained from the Costume department company in charge of sourcing the costumes. Both the facts that the trousers are from the renowned series and that it was Tom Hardy’s first screen role makes it a real collector's item for the informed cinephile. The trousers were worn on the episodes ‘Why we Fight’ and ‘Points’.
PFC John A. Janovec was a Replacement in Easy Company who was assigned to the unit before Operation Market Garden. He never saw much combat. Janovec was killed in a Jeep accident in Saalfelden, Austria where he had been guarding a crossroad checkpoint, checking the papers of all passing soldiers and German civilians. He is buried at Woodlawn Cemetery, Forest Park, Illinois.
