A rare, signed and framed limited edition Beryl Cook screenprint titled ‘Big Olives - Little Olives’, published in 1986 and numbered 157/300, which was a small run.
The print bears Beryl Cook’s hand signed pencil signature and was produced by Flanagan Graphics in the USA. It shows 4 men and 3 women singing around a piano, in a smart cocktail bar. The well-dressed pianist is busy playing. On the top of the piano is song book titled Desert Songs. It is part of the paintings that Beryl Cook did whilst visiting America.
Beryl Cook (1926 - 2008) is probably Plymouth's most famous artist of the 20th century and is best known for her tongue in cheek representations of Plymouth social life. Her distinctive style, with large portly ladies and men, is hugely popular, making this a desirable piece for any enthusiast.
The print is nicely framed and glazed and very good condition.
