1952 British HMS Burghead Bay Photo Album Canada to Antarctica

A very interesting and well annotated 1952 Photograph Album belonging to a sailor on board the British Anti Aircraft Destroyer HMS Burghead Bay, recording the trip from Plymouth (UK) to Canada and all the way down to Antarctica, and back to Canada.
The photograph album belonged to Leading Electrician's Mate S.J. Stephens and capture the trip across the Atlantic, arriving in Canada, descending the coast to the Caribbean and continuing to the Argentina, the Falklands and the Antarctic and then north again. The Photographs are of good quality and size and show life on board, shore leave and, most important, the whaling operations in the Falklands. The ship was also transporting Canadian Malamutes (mistakenly termed Huskies) to Antarctica and show them on the ship.
The trip entailed Plymouth-Bermuda-Halifax (Canada)-Dartmouth (Can.)-Guantanamo Bay (Cuba)-Port of Spain (Trinidad)-La Plata (Argentina)-Monte Video (Uruguay)-Port Stanley (Falklands)-Graham Land (Antarctica)-Deception Isles (Antar,)-Signy Isles (S. Atlantic)-(South Georgia (S. Atl.)-Punta Arenas (Chile)-Bahia (Brazil)-Georgetown (Brit. Guiana)-Ponte a Pierre (Trinidad)-St John (Canada)-St Lucia (BWI)-Martinique (FWI)-Barbados (BWI)-Curacao (DWI)-Punta Cardon (Venezuela)-Grenada (BWI)-Dominica (FWI)-Antigua (BWI)-Jamaica (BWI)-Kingston (NY USA)-Albany (NY USA)-Portland (Maine USA)-Gloucester (Mass USA)-Bermuda (BWI), where they were part of the West Indies Station.
There are 119 photos in total, with sizes ranging from 6.5 x 9 cm (2 ½ x 3 ½ inches) to 16.5 x 12 cm (6 ½ x 4 ¾ inches).
