c1860 Victorian Gold & Silver Piqueware on Tortoiseshell Brooch

A charming Victorian Piqueware Jewellery Brooch dating to about 1860.

It has been made from a half sphere of Tortoiseshell and is intricately inlaid with beautiful Gold and Silver floral design and a central Butterfly. On the reverse is pin clasp. The condition is mint, with a beautiful unscratched surface to either the tortoiseshell of metal inlay.
